The HealthTech Adria Conference 2025, held on October 2–3 at the University of Split’s School of Medicine, once again positioned Split as a regional hub for digital health and technological innovation. Organized by NetHub, a health innovation hub and accelerator, in partnership with the University of Split, the event brought together more than 300 participants from Croatia, the wider Adriatic region, and across Europe.
Within the conference, the project conference organized by IPEMED highlighted educational and innovation initiatives in healthcare. IPEMED actively develops and supports projects that strengthen health innovation ecosystems through education, mentorship, and networking, providing a platform to showcase impactful initiatives like INVITE.
Over two days of keynotes, thematic panels, start-up pitches, networking, and hands-on sessions, the conference provided a dynamic platform for dialogue, collaboration, and idea incubation among health professionals, technologists, entrepreneurs, and innovators.
A highlight of the first day was the panel “Gathering for Impact: How Health Innovation Ecosystems Learn, Grow and Scale Together,” featuring Rebeka Žerovnik, Lejla Gurbeta Pokvić, Ivana Kostić, and Maja Mimica. Within this discussion, the INVITE project emerged as a particularly relevant example—illustrating how sustainable growth in health innovation ecosystems depends not only on technological breakthroughs but also on education, capacity building, and shared learning frameworks that empower future innovators.
