Learning Expedition and Project Conference in Zadar as part of the INVITE project
From 9 to 13 September 2026, the University of Zadar will host the final event of the INVITE – Social Innovation Incubators for Inclusive Digital Healthcare project, aimed at strengthening the capacities of students and teachers from secondary vocational healthcare schools in Croatia, Slovakia and Türkiye to develop social innovations in the field of inclusive digital healthcare.
The five-day programme will bring together a range of project, educational and public activities focused on developing social innovations and more inclusive digital healthcare. The programme will begin with a project partners’ meeting, continue with a three-day student training programme within the Social Innovation Incubator, and conclude with a Demo Day and Project Conference, organised by the University of Zadar.
During the training programme, students will work in teams and, with the support of mentors, explore the real needs of older people when using digital health tools, identify specific user challenges, develop ideas, create prototypes and prepare short pitch presentations. At the Demo Day, student teams will present their inclusive digital healthcare solutions to an expert jury – from the user challenges they identified and the key insights that shaped their solutions, to their prototypes and proposals for further development.
As part of the final event, the Project Conference organised by the University of Zadar will also take place. The conference is intended for everyone interested in education, digital skills, healthcare, social innovation and the inclusion of vulnerable groups. It will provide an opportunity to present the results of the INVITE project, discover the student solutions developed during the Social Innovation Incubator, and exchange knowledge, experiences and ideas on how to engage young people in developing healthcare services that are more accessible, understandable and inclusive for all users.
